Challenge
CNC training requires access to expensive machines, supervision, and safe environments, limiting hands-on practice opportunities for students. Additionally, managing training content and tracking student performance can be difficult without a centralized system.
Solution
A VR application was developed for engineering students at Chulalongkorn University to practice CNC machine operation, material handling, cutting, and engraving in a safe, immersive environment. A supporting CMS provides a dashboard, user management, content management, reporting, and system logs to efficiently manage training data and monitor progress.
Outcome
- Enhances practical skills. - Improves learning outcomes. - Increases student engagement. - Enables efficient management of training content and performance tracking, supporting scalable and data-driven education.
